Roaming around in the spiritual land of Bangladesh (South Asia) Karishma Choudhury started to express her magical stories in the television advertising industry in Dhaka for fifteen years starting as a casting director to assistant director. She worked as a fashion film producer too.
Her thirst for the big screen motivated her to direct and produce fiction and documentaries. Eventually, she moved to Paris to study Bachelor of Cinema. In the birth land of cinema, she is capturing moving images as a cinematographer, editing and directing to tell stories.
Her directed films have been screened at various film festivals in Bangladesh, England, France, Australia, USA, and Ireland. As a cinematographer, her film Boiled Eggs won the Best Film Award in Italy at the MonFilmFest at Casale-Monferrato.
She is living in Paris and finished her Master of Cinema at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Aside from her studies she worked for an NGO and captured images in various countries of the world: Mali, Niger, Lebanon, and more.
